SERVICES
OWI GmbH is a medium-sized family run business with production sites in Germany and Hungary. We have specialized in the production of molded parts made of wood and plastic since 1927. Seat shells, seat pads, stadium seats, loudspeaker cabinets, injection moulded parts and technical moulded parts are produced in our own production and used by our customers worldwide.
We produce the majority of our moulded parts to our customers‘ individual specifications. In addition, we have a large stock of OWI owned tools for the production of various plastic moulded parts and wooden moulded parts.
In addition to the development and production of moulded parts, we also take care of assembly work, lacquering, logistics and much more.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
We offer you the platform you need for the timely and technically optimal project planning of new moulded parts and assemblies. In this way, we accompany you competently from the development of your product to the series production of your moulded parts.
Our project managers understand the language of designers and developers, regardless of whether wood or plastic technology is required.
The in-house design laboratory serves to concretise your design, to find ideas, to construct or to build prototypes. Samples from our standard range are available for this purpose. The digitalization of your design or the realization of your prototypes are also tasks that we can solve for you.
We have ourselves set the goal of optimally turn your idea into product and realizing ergonomically perfect prototypes within a very short time. Many well-known designers chose to work with us. Very successful models have already been created this way. For you as our client, we put together a customised service package and provide you with personal, individual and competent support.
Permanent improvement and development as well as qualified and committed employees are the guarantor of optimal quality for you. Of course, we will gladly include your suggestions and wishes at any time.
TOOLMAKING
If you can’t find the right tool for your product in our catalogs, our in-house tooling department or our specialized toolmaking service providers will manufacture a tool to your specifications.
Skilled technical advice on tool making belongs to our core competences. We develop individual solutions and support you in the selection of materials.
The press moulds built in-house have your data as a basis and are milled from aluminum or wood on our 5-axis CNC machines. This enables us to quickly realize pilot series and to easily readjust later if necessary.
For the production of plastic injection moulds you benefit from our contacts to design offices, prototyping companies and specialized tool makers in Germany & Europe. Our selected tool makers are very familiar with the special requirements of our moulded part range and field of application.
Additional services such as mechanical FEM calculations or mould filling studies are a matter of course.
