OWI is delighted to announce that the OWI BodyChair mechanism, developed in collaboration with the Berlin-based design duo Osko&Deichmann, has been awarded the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2026.<\/p>\n
The iF Design Award is one of the world\u2019s most prestigious design prizes and is regarded as a seal of quality for outstanding design and design quality. It is presented by iF International Forum Design GmbH, one of the world\u2019s oldest independent design institutions, which has been awarding the prize for over 70 years. <\/p>\n
The award was presented in Product Design, in the category Furniture and Home Furnishings. This places OWI among the best of over 10,000 entries from 68 countries \u2013 an impressive achievement that underlines the high level of competition for this award. <\/p>\n
The OWI BodyChair mechanism impressed the international jury of 129 independent design experts with its innovative yet elegantly simplified design.
It combines the ergonomic comfort of a sophisticated office chair with the clarity and sustainability of a simple wooden chair \u2014 opening up new possibilities for a wide range of seating concepts. <\/p>\n
