Industrial mechanic (m/f/d)

Entry: as of now
Working hours: 40 hours per week

Your tasks:

• Independent maintenance and repair of modern production equipment such as CNC machining centres or multi-component injection moulding machines
• Manufacturing, assembling and disassembling components and devices by applying welding, drilling, turning and milling techniques.
• Disassembly or assembly of modern production equipment, as well as its optimization and testing.

Requirements:

• completed vocational training in a technical field Industrial occupation e.g. industrial mechanic or comparable
• technical understanding
• prudence in dealing with live equipment / machines
• Diligence, sense of responsibility and ability to concentrate
• Dexterity and good hand-eye coordination

Wood mechanic – specialising in furniture & interior fittings (m/f/d)

Entry: as of now
Working hours: 40 hours per week

Your tasks:

• Creating initial samples and prototypes for the seating and furniture industry
• Building jigs for conventional milling machines and CNC machining centers
• Building press molds for molding presses

Requirements:

• Completed vocational training in a skilled trade e.g. wood mechanic or comparable
• Careful handling of material and finished products
• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination
• Independent, structured and responsible way of working
• Team spirit and reliability

Production worker in the field of plastics (m/f/d)

Entry: as of now
Working hours: 37.5 hours per week

Your tasks:

• Operating injection moulding machines in 3-shift operation
• Feeding raw materials into the production process
• Removal, processing and packaging of plastic parts

Requirements:

• exercise capacity
• Diligence, flexibility, accuracy and reliability
• Independent, structured and responsible way of working
• Willingness to work in 3-shift operation
• Professional experience / basic knowledge in the field of injection moulding is an advantage

      ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN FOR INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING (M/F/D)

      General information:
      • Duration of training = 3.5 years
      • Vocational school in the 1st year of apprenticeship: Main-Spessart Vocational School in Lohr am Main
      • Vocational school from the 2nd year of apprenticeship: Franz-Oberthür-Schule in Würzburg
      The final examination consists of a practical and written part.

      Learning content and tasks:

      • Checking and repairing the entire lighting system
      • Installation of energy supply, computer networks and lighting
      • Connecting and programming machines and product controls
      • New installation, commissioning, repair and maintenance of our plastic injection moulding machines and high-frequency presses
      • Troubleshooting with the aid of electronic measuring and testing equipment

      • Successful school-leaving certificate, min. Qualified secondary school leaving certificate
      • Interest in mathematics and physics

      PROCESS MECHANIC FOR PLASTICS & RUBBER TECHNOLOGY
      SPECIALIZATION MOLDED PARTS (M/F/D)

      General information:
      • Training duration = 3 years
      • Vocational school in the 1st year of apprenticeship: State vocational school in Bad Kissingen
      • Vocational school from the 2nd year of apprenticeship: vocational school centre in Rehau
      The final examination consists of a practical and written part.

      Learning content and tasks:

      • Planning and implementation of production processes
      • Learning and applying special working processes, e.g. extrusion
      • Control and monitoring of production facilities and ongoing production
      • Preparation of evaluations, documentation and researches
      • Operating, setting up and equipping our injection moulding machines in semi-automatic and fully automatic mode
      • Feeding of raw materials into the production process up to colour and material changes
      • Removal, processing and packaging of plastic parts
      • Quality assessment using measurement tools, gauges and comparative patterns

      General information:

      • Vocational school = Main-Spessart vocational school in Lohr am Main
      The final examination consists of a practical and written part.

      Learning content and tasks:

      • Basics of metalworking & electronics
      • Setting up and testing electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
      • Programming of mechatronic systems
      • Testing and setting functions on mechatronic systems as well as their commissioning, maintenance and operation
      • Maintenance & inspection of mechatronic systems, as well as replacement of defective or faulty components
      • Retrofitting outdated operating equipment to a modern standard
      • Creating technical documents such as construction drawings, assembly & circuit diagrams, etc.

      Additional training: Basic metal training course of the Würzburg Chamber of Crafts. The final examination consists of a practical and written part.

      Learning content and tasks:

      General information:
      • Training duration = 3 years
      • Vocational school in the 1st 1. & 2nd year of apprenticeship: Josef Greising School in Würzburg

      Vocational school from the 3rd year of apprenticeship: vocational school in Kitzingen-Ochsenfurt
      The final examination consists of a practical and written part.

      Learning content and tasks:

      • Working and processing wood and wood-based materials
      • Learning and applying surface treatment techniques
      • Creating initial samples and prototypes for the seating and furniture industry
      • Construction of fixtures for conventional milling machines and CNC machining centres
      • Construction of press moulds for moulded parts pressing
      • Reading and creating sketches and drawings
      • Handling computer-assisted woodworking machines

      Requirements:

      • Successful school-leaving certificate, min. Qualified secondary school leaving certificate
      • Successfully completed basic year of vocational school in the wood sector
      • Care in handling materials and finished products
      • Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination

      INDUSTRIAL CLERK (M/F/D)

      General information:
      • Training duration = 3 years
      Main-Spessart Vocational School in Lohr am Main

      The final examination consists of an oral and written part.

      Learning content and tasks:

      Industrial clerks are workin in companies in all sectors in commercial and business management areas such as materials management, sales and marketing, human resources, finance and accounting.

      • Handling business processes such as payment and dunning procedures
      • Creation of order accompanying documents such as quotations, order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices, etc.
      • Carrying out calculations
      • Determination of requirements, e.g. of personnel, material, etc.
      • Communication with business partners

      Requirements:

      • Successful school-leaving certificate, min. Intermediate school leaving certificate
      • Interest in business contexts as well as in organisational and administrative activities
      • Commercial thinking and a good understanding of numbers
      • Independent, structured and responsible way of working

      DUAL STUDIES AT OWI

      We have been working successfully with DHBW Mosbach for many years.

      WE TRAIN THE FOLLOWING COURSES OF STUDY

      BACHELOR OF ENGINEERING – WOOD TECHNOLOGY COURSE (M/F/D)

      The wood technology course is aimed at students who want to work as managers in the wood industry and its suppliers.
      supplier industry as a manager.
      It includes both engineering and business management content.

      Dual system:
      • Practical phases in the training company
      • Theory phases at the university

      Duration:
      3 years (6 semesters)
      Requirements: at least entrance qualification for university of applied sciences
